I've got a horse racing bot running, placing back bet a couple of ticks below best market price with fill/kill of 2s. Working OK, but one scenario I don't want to place the bet is if the odds suddenly drift after the back bet action has executed. Had a scenario where bet placed, had the in-play delay and odds had drifted to a level I didn't want to bet, yet bet was matched.

Trying to fathom how I cancel a bet in that scenario, if that's even possible. Any pointers appreciated.

It can't be cancelled in that circumstance.
Imagine there was no delay the bet would have hit the market and been matched at the (lower) price you wanted - then a second later the price drifts out, you can't ask for it to be cancelled/voided.
