Hi all,

I want to make sure I do not stuff up the following command.

Sport: Soccer

I want to create an instruction where I lay back the draw 5 min into the game.

I then want to green up in the 75th minute. I would also like to have a trailing stop of 1 tick.

Close opened trade in the 90th minute before the game is over.

I am struggling to do this and your help is greatly appreciated

So far this is what I have done.

GENERAL
Rule Name: Lay the draw #1
Rule type: Place Lay bet
Rule triggers time: Relative to in play times
Arm trigger 00:05:00 after event start time
Until: Not sure about this one 00:05:10 would this make sense?

Allow rule to trigger up to 1 time.

Wait 5 seconds before rearming

PARAMETERS

Place at: best market price

Stake: X

CONDITION: Inplay condition: The market is in play

Now this is where I struggle. I want to create an instruction where I green up in the 75th minute of the game, keep the position opened until the minute 90th.
I also would like to put a trailing stop of let's say 1-2 ticks as the odds will favour the closer they get to the end of the game.

I am not sure if that makes sense.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Cheers

I imagine you will get stopped out on every order with a stop of only 1 tick.

Hi Euler,

Thanks for such a prompt reply.

Let's say then x amount of ticks.

Do you think you can help me out?

I'm a bit confused with the request as you call the rule lay the draw, but you say you want to back the draw?

I'm not following your logic above. If you green up in the 75th minute then you have closed the trade?

What does this mean?

Are you laying the draw, or backing it?

Hey guys.

Now I am getting confused myself. :?

Man City Vs Fulham

I am confident Man City will score

Has not lost a game at home.

Odds for 1 or more goals 1.03

Odds 0-0 18.7

Failed to score at home 0.0%

I want to lay the draw at 5.7 (current price) and Back the draw when Man City scores a goal.

Not sure how to explain and whether it is possible. I want to create a command that instructs angel bets to create a back the draw order at a profit and a trailing stop order.

The closer the match gets to the end the better the odds to back the draw. However there is a risk Fulham may score and I want that an automation order to close on a profit if Fulham scores.

Geez, just finished a long day at work and not sure if that make sense.

Hope you can help me

Cheers

Based on your set up one of three things will happen. City will score which will result in a profit, Fulham will score which will be a loss or there is no score so you will lose money slowly.

Laying the draw is easy but your exit is a bit harder. You can set a stop loss in the hope it gets filled other than if the score is 0-0. If Fulham score, you will lose and that's about it.

So I would recommend an exit based on reaching a set profit target.

ozpaniard..

i understand what you want.
the current commands in auto mode wont allow you to do it very easily.
thats not bet angels fault.
if betfair would allow a current score in cs to be known it would be easy.
often the current fav score isnt the current score.

all i can advise is manual trading,or an auto trade whilst watching the scores and then manual intervention when needed, its the only solution ive found so far.

Thanks boys,

Just seen the final score!!

3-0

First goal 10 min into play (I wanted to lay the draw 5 min into play)

3rd goal, minute 70th. I wanted to automate closing the open trade minute 75th.

Unlucky.

Anyway, what do you guys think of research done prior to the start of the game? What would you have done different?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I do something similar myself.

I use the "close trade profit condition" in other words, if you lay at 5.2 and the price goes up to 10.2 after a home goal, then your profit on closing a trade will be £5 multiplied by your stake.

Make sure that when you close, the market has stabalised (Book percentages are back to normal), because straight after a goal, there are a few opportunistic offers. So you will have to wait a while and that exposes you to the risk of a a quick equaliser, but better that than excepting an offer 20% below expectation.

In this instance, Man City 3-0 Fulham, if you had laid at 5min, I don't think greening out for a profit at 70 would have been worthwhile. I should imagine, draw odds would be close to 1000 and it would be difficult to green up manually, let alone automatically.

Good luck - hope this helps.
