No one uses flash anymore. When I got my first ipad I ran into the flash problem quite a bit but I don;t recall seeing any flash on any other website except the bbc in the last 6 months.
When iOS5 comes out thats going to be another leap forward for the ipad. Considering honeycomb never even caught up with iOS4 android have some serious catchup to do

What about most of the porn sites or vid sites on the web? My example of flash was just to show that android is not dictated to about what they can and cant use.
The new apple OS should be a step forward and as i said already everyone has their own preferences. It could be argued that the new "In the cloud" theme apple are going with has already begun with android as a lot of the stuff is already held in the cloud through the google accounts.
I just believe with apple your a bit tied to whatever Hand Jobs wants you to have, where as with android being an open platform there is a lot more scope for development and as Android is now the most used operating system away from the PC and laptops, they must be doing something right.

According to wiki, you may be on Ipad 144 by the time HTML5 becomes a standard in 2022! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... _and_Flash
The beauty with Android is they will be able to adapt to changes quickly if html5 becomes the norm, whereas with apple as pointed out in the wiki article changes have to be passed through the management, so your pretty much can only have what they offer.
"allowing Flash — which is a development platform of its own — [on the iPhone] would just be too dangerous for Apple, a company that enjoys exerting total dominance over its hardware and the software that runs on it," and that it would allow developers to distribute content which competes with Apple's App Store."

My point exactly, its nothing to do with they cant offer it, its so they can decide what you can and cant watch. The last thing apple want is you watching or listening to free online content when they are selling it all through their store.

Would you say that the screen is
difference?the
He screen is worth the upgrade alone. The actual CPU processing power is the same as the ipad2. It just ha a quad core graphics processor.
It's a pleasure to browse the internet looking at pictures on it now as well as being super convenient.

Does anyone know of a way to edit Word and/or Excel documents using an iPad?
It needs to be done when offline.
I can't seem to find anything that is suitable and wondered if anyone knew of anything?
The best option I have found so far in tablet form seems to be the new Microsoft Surface tablet which runs a version of word and excel but having never used one I am not sure about them. Has anyone any experience of this tablet?
TIA.

I know on android their is an app called "documents to go" that does this. Id imagine they have an app for ipads as well. I do however find it quite a struggle looking and changing excel sheets on a tablet. Its okay for something urgent if im out and about but it would have to be real urgent.
