They don't have the skills at Betfair HQ to make these bets. The company barely has an employee who understands the betting markets.

So, who runs Betfair's in house bots.

Why is there a difference in the amounts available at 4.6, 4.9 and 5.0

Whose is the money - Is it XM or Betfair.

If you fire up Bet Angel you can get it to display prices with or without XM so that will let you examine both market states.

So, the answer is XM, not Betfair.

How does XM work...

Pdupre1961,
I will be on my way to go to watch this game live. I live in about couple hours...If you need any tip or infos regarding this game, I am happy to help if I can..
They are playing on a neutral ground..Whenjuventus play on neutral ground there are still signifcant supporters, when cagliari play on neutral ground, the supporters are onle few, sometimes non at all
The juventus is the likely winner but 1,44 is still too short...

Ok, that was simple enough.

What happens if someone takes £10 of the away team's 1.5 price (say the 2.0 has already gone).

If part of the XM offer get's matched you will get matched as well. But thanks to rounding 'errors' Betfair often get to keep a slice of the bet for no risk in the market.

I remember Cagliari from the 1970s, when I played football with mates - I was Luigi Riva...

So, the original Back Bet offer reduces by £5 - what about the draw - £5 also...

No, I was a kid in the early 1970s, we played European Cup where each kid picked a team, and a player in that team. One kid would go in goal and the two others were the teams they picked. First player to score went through to the next round.

Cagliari must have represented Italy in the European Cup at some point...Am I right...Or has my memory totally failed and it was from a dream I had 40 years ago.

pdupre, you are seriously showing your age!

Cagliari won Serie A in 1969/70, so would have been in the European Cup 1970/71.

They beat St Etienne 3-1 on agg, winning the home leg 3-0 thanks to 2 goals from Luigi Riva

Cagliari were beaten in the last 16 by Atletico Madrid. Caglairi won the 1st leg at home 2-1, with Riva scoring again, but lost the 2nd leg 3-0

Unbelievable - I forgot to post this...

Ok, checked it out on Wikipedia.

Cagliari - Italian champions 1969-70

European Cup 1970-71
Round 1 - Beat French Champions Saint-Étienne 3-1 (over 2 legs)
Round 2 - Lost to Spanish Champions Atlético Madrid 4-2

Nice one LeTiss...
