Evernote is very good, and updates across all devices.

I presume available on apple, I use Gtasks for making quick notes. If I'm sat around and remember I need to do something I make a quick note on the app on my phone and then when I log into gmail I have it set up to show gtasks in a small pop up.

I don't know how different to ever note but I like it as i always have to login to my gmail and it always is sat there as a reminder.

Been meaning to add this one for ages.

Wunderlist - http://www.wunderlist.com

It is a really good To Do List but it has a lot of useful features beyond the basic To Do List. It can be used on any platform pretty much and syncs instantly across all devices, desktop, web browser, tablet, mobile.

I really like using it as a brain dump for whenever ideas come into my head but also for planning out my week/day etc and then just doing simple things like a shopping list that can be collaborated on and/or then shared.

Really worth a look, I wouldn't be without it any more.

Best of all it is free (I don't have a clue why it is free though)

Ill take a look at that Andy, sounds good

I was recently in the US, and used the UBER taxi app. Def recommended if anyone is traveling o the US, it saved us quite a lot and is very efficient too

I have never used Uber - heard a lot about it and think it is a great idea and company, not perhaps if you are a taxi driver. It is really popular across the world. A really good disruptive technology that is shaking up the old status quo.

I introduced a friend to Wunderlist yesterday - they love it.

Another kind of app that is really good are from your mobile network providers. Different providers have different names for the apps and I think some don't have them at all but they let you use your mobile via the wifi if you don't have a mobile signal.

Where I am the signal is terrible but by having the app installed I can make calls and text as if I have full signal and people can call and text my mobile as normal - really useful. The three app is called Thee inTouch:

Not an app as such but I also really like that three let you use your allowances when abroad in several countries such as the USA and Spain, Feel at Home

Finally a really useful app if you are with BT (I believe other providers offer similar) is the BT Smart Talk app which lets you use your landline package from anywhere in the world you have wifi, as if you are sat at home. So say you are in Oz and you want to call your family member in London and you have Landline package with free anytime landline calls, you could use the app to make the call from Oz for free. You can also allow something like 5 family members to also use the app so if you have a generous package with say free landline and mobile calls you can let others take advantage via the app:

Lastly, for those that use Spotify many people aren't aware that they now offer Spotify Family that allows you to get 50% of additional subscriptions. You pay for one Premium account at £9.99 and then the subsequent subscriptions are £5. It is all billed via the one person (they say you all have to live together, but that isn't really true, it is just it is billed via one person) but you all get/keep your own personal accounts and playlists etc.

Hopefully that lot helps some people, any other tips and ideas please share.
