My laptop has finally left me, to go to a better place where it won’t be constantly berated by me. Bad trades are never my fault! I’ve started to look at younger, slimmer models that I think will suit me, maybe Arizona Muse? (I wish). Anyway, less with serious stuff and back to the day dreaming of becoming a competent bet trader. I intend to trade using two monitors at least, four at most. I’d like to know would the "Inspiron 17" be good enough to do so? I know very little about computers apart, form googling young models. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you really need a laptop? You got a lot more for your money from a desktop and even more if you build one yourself. Specs look ok, I recommend a SSD as they are sooooo much quicker than conventional hard drives. Even if you just have the os installed on the SSD the difference is very noticeable.

Are you sure that graphics card can take 4 monitors?

Yes, I need a laptop. I'll going to another country for a year or two. After that, it might be another year or two in a different country, before I'm settled somewhere. I don't want the hassle of shipping a hard drive around or hauling it around airports. I only need it for two monitors really. One for the ladder interface and the second for live pictures, graphs, etc. I don't know if the graphs card would be good enough. Thats what I was hoping someone could tell me...
