If I would have to buy a new trading desktop I would pay attention to:
1.an SSD - for operating system
2.an intel core i7 CPU with at least 3Ghz

4. at least 16Gb or ram

I forgot to mention that you should be paying attention to the monitor sizes more in pixel size than in inches. As it is the pixel size that determines the amount of info you can get on a screen. The bigger the screen size, doesn't mean you get more info it just means it is spread over a larger area.
I run 4 screens, each with a pixel size of 2048 x 1152 and you get a fantastic amount of information on them but unfortuantly Samsung stopped making them so I have been buying them up on eBay and off PeterLe's mate when he was selling his. (Thanks PeterLe!)

I thought from you asking above, if he resold them and saying that your wife wanted them out of the house that you meant you sold your screens to him to keep your wife happy by getting them out of the house and you gave him a good deal.

the 3840 x 2160 monitors are getting cheaper and cheaper. With a proper video card with a display port in multistream mode or dual dvi you would get lots of space. Still in its early stage but the fact that we have now 8k monitors make the things even more exiting.

Don't get too excited about 8k monitors, 4k is already stretching it.
I bought a 4k monitor a couple of months ago, thought I'd be able to save on space (a single 4k monitor equals 4 regular monitors, right?). Turns out it doesn't. Since the monitor has a diagonal of 33", everything on the screen is a bit too small to read, and even though I have a fairly capable video card (an nvidia 980), it feels a bit slow. In the end, I switched to a screen mode of 3840x2160 (instead of the full 4096x2160) which helped a lot with the sluggishness, and modified the number of dots per inch such that everything seems a bit bigger again. Of course that implied that I couldn't have everything in view, so within a week I set aside my pride and added a screen again
Still, I'm happy with this setup. Screens on top of each-other, in rows so to speak are an ergonomic nightmare for me. No massage could remedy what that setup did to my neck and shoulders.

the "disadvantages" of big resolutions displays are their high density of the pixels. So many pixels packed into screen sizes of 24-28 inches. So the dot pitch is around 0.14-0.16mm when an usual 22" has 0.25-0.28mm. So to get the dot of 4 monitors of 22" you would need at least 40" or so. Very soon I'll buy one of these.

Very nice, and a great price. You use them in portrait mode to be fit bigger screens?

and the stand is great for curving the picture and bring closer extremities. If you install them landscape as they show in the picture you would need binoculars for corners beside that when landscape they don't curve that much. So 3 portrait or 2 portrait and one landscape are the best options. you would need longer cables too.
