I am finding today a bit more of a challenge, I am not pulling in the same totals as yesterday but I set the bar pretty high yesterday so it was always going to be a struggle to match it today.

Can't complain overall though about how today has gone so far.

I am finding the prices are moving around a bit more than yesterday - based on feel/memory not stats.

It will be interesting to see your stats analysis when you get time Peter, I am assuming it will be next week.

How are others fairing today?

Well, for me, this big festivals aren't interesting for trading, so I'm punting a bit. Yesterday went well, today is the opposite

But I'm exited just for watching it live!

Shame about the Computer issues - always worth having a backup plan in place.

Managed to pull in a good result on the XC with the move on Nina's horse - one of the biggest certs of the day her being punted given her history in the race.

Well that race (16:50) was nuts! Got badly caught early on then managed to turn it around to one of the better races of the two days so far but it took some work!

Edit - Inrunning was just as nuts

I await a post from PeterLe ;)

I had a stupendous total, but just couldn't exit my position as the price came running all the way bad, madness. Ended +15 from a much bigger total.

Sorry to hear that Peter, any ideas on what caused the move? Did anything happen on the larger priced runners perhaps?

That was a bizarre market.

My PC crashed as well, so it was crazy all-round. I traded from my laptop but that didn't help me interpret what actually happened in that race. Will have to look at the data.

Didn't tweak anything this year and neither did I pay a lot of attention, just let the bots run. The scalper did really well today, although yesterday it had only a small profit. A couple of weeks ago I was testing a new strategy but the results were a bit disappointing (even more after a fuckup on my behalf) and I felt I needed to focus on other things for a while. So not involved in cheltenham at all. Wish you all good fortune though!

Well that's day 2 done and dusted with.

I didn't manage to achieve the levels I did yesterday. I found the markets seemed to be a lot more volatile today compared to yesterday which doesn't suit me.

I got caught near the off on the 17:30 and halved my profit unfortunately.

Overall, another pleasing day when taken on its own but when looking at it compared to yesterday it was a bit of a disappointment for me. Though had you offered me today's result at the start of the week I would have snapped your hand off.

Onwards and upwards for the second half of the week, time for a lie down for now though - I am mentally frazzled!

I am finding the markets much better today than yesterday - managing to get some pretty big volumes through the markets on Betdaq.

Other than the shambles of the first race where I got caught by the start and lost a bit of my profit on the race it has been another excellent day...so far..

Total traded so far to end of day three on Betfair £83.4m

Smallest £2.2m, biggest £6.75m

Not totally sure if we will see £7m broken tomorrow on the biggest race. But I'd imagine the markets will top £100m in total fairly easily.

Disappointed with my effort in the Gold Cup - was going really well and had a good green that was steadily building but then just as I started to really push the stakes the market started to move a lot more and I got caught a bit and lost some of my green unfortunately.

Still a decent result but not as much as it really should have been.

I should have known really as people would be getting their position in the stands rather than placing a bet late on so market was bound to thin out.

The bookies must have taken an absolute hammering this week.
