So I traded the 21.15 tonight, backed before the off, looking to lay off Inplay. I traded and hedged my position at +£4. Checked my account a while later to find I was - £25. Now there was a very late withdrawal resulting in a rule 4 being applied after the race. Surely the rule 4 only applies to my +£4 traded profit? Or have I got this wrong. Don't understand how I'm -£25. Is it because my matched back bet was before the withdrawal and my lay Inplay was after the withdrawal? Seems to me the rule 4 has only taken into account my back bet and ignored the lay. Thanks in advance.

3 horses were withdrawn, at a cumulative 50p Rule 4 on track.

If u backed, the 4/1 fav (pre rule 4), it would have roughly become 2/1.

I think u then, laid back .. in-running, at above the 3.0 level, so, u were locking in a loss.

In these situations, all but the most nimble lose money.
