Regarding Bristol De Mai and other course specialists at Haydock, I would take the extrapolations from the helpfulpunter with a certain degree of caution,as they do not appear to take into consideration going at the track, or other tracks

Horses like Bristol De Mai and Emperors Choice ( who won at Haydock on Saturday ) are more heavy ground specialists than course specialists. As shown by Emperors Choice's win at Chepstow in the Welsh National ( a course far removed from the characteristics of Haydock according to the chart)
Similarly Bristol De Mai has won at Chepstow.. and unsuprisingly on heavy going !! He started fav for all his three Haydock wins, all on testing going, and suspect if those races were run at other courses on testing going he would have won.

So interesting angle but not that useful in the context it's Presented .. just highlights that course form is important but just one consideration of many

Now horses which only win at one course . Well that's a different matter !!
