Can you actually believe they get paid for this?

Advising 9 horses from a possible 20.

8 horse in the supreme are 66/1 and over all the way to 250/1, so technically he's given 9 possible winners from 12 runners. He gets paid to do this!!! :D :D

Edit: 10 horses!!!
He advised one, Getabird (what I need to do as it happens) - that's why it's in capital letters.

When a racing journalist has to preview a race it's not really a tip, he's just saying what he thinks the best bet in the race is if you are betting on it.

I managed an early £500 scalp on Getabird - it took about two hours for the money to get through the queue.

First flow 15.5 now. Damn it, will let it ride with 385 to win, just not worth ruining my Cheltenham for such a large lay stake.

Might take the week off if it wins.

Took me 30 mins at 11am to get one through on Getabird... Strangely enough it was faster last night (albeit small stakes)...

I am a trader that always messes on the early prices, as opposed to the carnage in the final 30mins - I can tell you from experience that the fill rate is OK. I've pushed through some decent trades already

My first Cheltenham trying to trade.

I do hope I'm not about to get my backside handed to me on a plate

I haven't joined Smarkets, so I'm in no position whatsoever to pass judgement, however I am also suspicious of their matched figures. Do they include self-matching in those figures? Betfair used to do that in the early days, and it's the easiest way to increase and exploit the supposed levels of liquidity

If you matched £10k with yourself a lot you could create massive 'liquidity'

Question on matching - is it really first come first served?

reason: on the first chelt today i thought 'lets see how long it takes to get matched' i placed a £50 stake at 3.05 on the fav - at the time the amount matched was 890k at that price and there was 7k in the queue - so my reasoning was that at 897k ish i would get matched - right now it's at 910k and i'm still not matched - how does that work?
