Imo i really dont think who ever does it loses. If it was me , i would have many back bets waiting at higher prices where im pushing the price to then push it back in the other direction. It would not surprise me if they were taking their own bets also.

If the 5K lay at 2.8 wasn't intended to be matched and the price ended up 2.5 I reckon it would be quite a lot of money lost.

BSP was 2.32. I could be wrong but the aim of this one was to push the market higher than 2.84. It would be tough to trade out that sort of liability if they couldn't cancel quickly enough. The horse lost so maybe they got away with it.
