What is the relevant time frame to look at in form?

The races in the last 6 months or 18 months? Is it also connected to the age of the horse?

Many Thanks

There is no set interval, a horse's form gradually gets less relevant the further back you go.

If a horse is out of form but shows signs of getting back to near his best, form from two years ago may be relevant to indicate what the horse is potentially capable of.

A horses age isn't too relevant when looking at its form, it's more important when considering a its potential, or lack of potential to improve.
