Hi everybody, is there a list of average times by course and distance anywhere please? Doesnt need to be very accurate, just need to know by distance how long a race should take on a particular course? Thanks!

I haven't looked but you might find 'standard times' on the Timeform or Racing Post site. Standard times are the times expected of a high class horse in a well run race on good going, which speed figures are based on.

if you do an average of 13 seconds per furlong in the summer and 16 seconds in the winter you wont be far off

This spreadsheet might be useful.

I believe I downloaded it from these very forums but I can't recall who originally supplied it.
