Hi,
I'm new to horse racing [ trading ]. Mainly trade football O/U.
So it is quite confusing, when I see 'reduction factor' in horse racing applied on some runners..
Let's say this is the situation:
I open a trade and back a horse at odds of 6, for 100 £
And then put my closing 100 £ lay position in the market at odds of 4.
But the market never gets to odds of 4, because of the reduction factor.
So what happens to my original position, does it turn into a bet at odds of 6 ?
And, or, what I must do, when I have an open position, when this scenario happens???
Could someone explain this to me. PLEASE!!!
Thank you!
Reduction factor! Please NEED HELP !!!!

Start at section 14.6 Betfair Non-Runner Rule. You'll soon see why I didn't want to type a quick explaination.
