yes, it made me feel a little sad tbh, didn't realise a broken leg was so life threatening, then i read this: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/ ... -leg-horse

poor beast ;(
I rewound to watch the reply and it looked horrific (not for the squeamish) so doubt we'll see any reply's unless someone posts a recording of it
Was bad for sure.

The Sporting Life website replay will always be there as long as you register with skybet. (same login details used for the Super6 comp)

I am one of horse racing's biggest supporters but even I think jumps should be banned, just horrific to watch
It pretty much wasn't a jumping injury. Happens to flat horses as well.

Happened on landing the jump didn't it?

It seemed to be several lengths after the previous fence when it was pulled up and disrupted a few other runners, but the initial mis-footing or whatever it was likely came about from the previous landing

Very sad we lost Sir Erec, especially after the focus on him before the race, but it's part of the game.

He lived a wonderful life for an animal and in a way died a glorious death in battle.

Yeah, they have been perfect for being a bit more aggressive with staking. This happened last year as well. Not as wild markets as we saw earlier on, but the Friday really performed in a much calmer manner.

Despite having lower expectations I found the penultimate market to be really dull
