Hi,
Does anyone know how Berfair treats non-runners in it's BSP data? So, for example, if a runner is withdrawn after 11am how does this affect the Morning WAP?
Thanks
BSP Historical Data & Non-runners
I'm not sure exactly what you're after, but AFAIK a) if a horse is withdrawn then there will be no WAP for that horse and B) the data for all of the other horses are amended by the Reduction Factor of the withdrawn horse, in the same way that all bets are reduced by the RF.

Not quite on topic but I'm always amused to see a non-runner being traded in-running. I assume it's the BOTs, they don't know it's a non-runner and I assume all the bets on the non-runner are scrapped ab-inito and the bets on the real runners are amended by the non-runner factor but it might be interesting to know how it can trip some BOTs up that compare the relative odds of runners to place bets!

I guess so, only 1 'winner' shown in the Win_Lose column though I don't know why it should be as Bf don't change number of places for a non-runner. Assume someone cocked-up! Only other thing I can think of is Bf have some form of automation for +1 and -1 variants of the standard place markets and someone forgot to turn it off for a 2 place race. Question is did the odds equal the win odds? If not there could have been a lot of matched betting by those who noticed it pre-off. (not me )

Just means only one winner in that to be placed market. The others either fell or pulled up. They seem to have been messing around with the market names for a while for some reason, used to simply be To Be Placed markets.
