I was green but waiting to exit the fav at SP. Bet you it they cancel that and leave me with a week ruining negative. I am sure they will settle in a manner that just generates the biggest comission. If they voided the race it would be fairer to everybody and punish them for their incompentance.

The have settled as though there wasn't a problem. Suits me but still not fair to others I guess?

That was in the rules, rule 1.23.5.6.48.920.2 I think.

Which states:

'If we forget to turn a race inplay on the second thursday of a month but then mid race decide to turn it inplay meaning those who did not want bets being matched that left them in good faith that at the off they would be cancelled, would be screwed and it suits us we will just settle it as if nothing happened. Then it is standard operating procedure to open another bottle of Premium Charge Champagne and toast the fact we have a monopoly and they will all just come back the next race despite moaning and losing money'

14:10 not turned inplay, that's going to cause a few problems. Not Betfair's fault as the stalls got stuck but three horses pulled and nobody given the chance to do anything about it.

To their credit they have settled this market well. Anybody carrying a trade in-play is stuffed but that's not Betfair's fault on this occasion.

Goodness me, 15:00 Curragh, suspended slightly late, not turned in play. This is almost becoming a daily occurance.

And again on the 17:30 at Curragh!

A complete and utter shambles given it's the Irish Oaks tomorrow.

if ever there was a need for a viable alternative.....not sure why all the straight punters/layers put up with it as I think Betdaq could be used by them, then perhaps the traders would start to follow.

We all keep hearing on the BF forum about us pesky traders spoiling it for the punters so why they don't move is very odd.

We would like to apologise for the intermittent problems that Betfair customers have been experienced throughout today.

Please be aware that we have identified a potential technical issue and that we are looking at this as a matter of the most urgent priority.

Now this is worrying.? Really it only effects traders and people who do in running. For backers and layers it does not matter as there bets are matched before the off anyway.?

Cheers

Everything worked well for the remainder of the day so this was perhaps, human error?
