A 5.5 withdrawal with a RF of 35% caused havoc with this favourite!

why would a 5.5 favourite have a reduction factor of 35 and not 18%?? doesnt make sense

It makes perfect sense. If races are put in-play a minute either side of the off-time it's only fitting that reduction factors have no reflection on their prices. ;)

I'm sure if it was a UK race (where RFs get updated frequently during the course of the day) Betfair would have revised the RFs to bring them in line with the prices, before removing the runner. But for US races Betfair probably couldn't be bothered with it, or perhaps nobody complains. Whenever I hear of a scratching I check the RF and take advantage if possible before it's pulled.

interesting, so you would have layed the field in this case? betfair dont mind? i was betting on a couple of non runners last year and got a call from betfair very quickly to stop doing that as it is price manipulation. didnt seem to influence odds much though once the overround was more than 100% doesnt seem to matter much what price the non runner is at.

The 19:50 at Hamilton is a very odd market.
With 16mins still to this H'cap has had over £132k matched and the fav chart looks like this

it will not go off at 19:50 if at all.

strange graph do you reckon its anything to do with the place being waterlogged and quite possibly being abandoned?

Suspended now
Not sure, why only that was effected and the two after that were just showing regular volumes

it looks almost mechanical, like a carrier wave that's going faulty/distorting, don't think I have seen a graph like that before on a horse.
