Some crazy moves today, the move from ~4.0 started in the last 5 minutes before the off :
Betfair chart / Betfair graph of the day
None at all, was fine at the start and going down and was even being talked up a little bit by the RUK presenters as being nice if it won and was no mention of any negatives about it. Also ran perfectly respectably.
The way things are going in a few years we'll be posting relatively straight/flat charts here as a 'Chart of the Day' and just accepting those like above as the norm!
Not that unusual given the profile of the race and runners .Some very well bred flat types as well . Incidentally the easy winner Alright Sunshine is a half brother to Jaameh, who ran and finished third in the Group Three Lexus stakes at Flemington less than 24 hours ago !!
What's becoming increasingly apparent to anyone who observes this type of move several times a day is just how little money it takes to get prices to artificially low levels for the benefit of individuals who want to lay at these low prices. It only costs a few pounds. Then when the 'real' market starts, it's one way traffic.

Thanks LinusP, that's impressive.
Good charts, and as I posted yesterday (but in the reverse direction), you can see just how little it takes to move prices to outlandish levels. Not only that, but the market collectively pays you for doing so! This stuff is happening dozens of times a day now.
