I wouldn't use a combination lock for obvious reasons.

Looking forward to the St Leger meeting this week, but not expecting much from today.

The lesser Doncaster races have always been set for the first day so the ITV team can have the day off!

I have found the whole week terrible. I had hoped that the end of the evening racing would concentrated the money in the afternoon and make for better trading but it hasn't felt like that for me.

I haven't done much this week, but did OK today.

It can be a bit tricky in these transition periods.

I remember the same happening last year but thought with Doncaster on this week it would help but it hasn't felt like that for me.

Takes a bit of adjustment mentally to go from the riches of the summer to having a lot less opportunity and what you do have is sometimes not that good.

Might be a good time to take some time off and catch up with things that were allowed to slip during the summer months.

Last October I started taking market snapshots every x minutes before the off.

Then simulated trading strategies and found a few angles that performed well all winter, only to unravel in the summer.

Looking forward to this winter racing as I’m curious to see whether my findings were just a fluke or proper winter-only angles.

A couple of massive orders plunged through the markets early on. Got caught out on one, hopefully not a characteristic of today.

Doubt you can expect the evening liquidity to come over to the afternoon as I've always thought they're two different demogrphics. I've done OK this week but usually this period is a settling in period to get used to the end of night racing and switchover to the jumps.
