Lads I know this isnt exactly the right place but couldnt find anything using the search function and didnt want to make a new thread I one exist already, but do traders use the likes of oddschecker to check bookie prices in relation to watching the markets to help trade?

Generally not, the market is driven the other way around.

I used to when I first started trading but quickly realised the bookie prices lag behind moves on the exchange.

Thanks, this is what I was trying to tell a friend and they had me second guessing for a minute.

Yes, just watched the last but it was only available at the last minute. Didn't know you trade Meydan.
Now it is the Carnival there I will trade it as it helps boost Thursday's. Thanks for the info about the BFLV.

2 meeting afternoon after losing Musselbourgh to frost. I would expect them to delay Chepstow by 5 minutes.

Racing out to ban drones over fears they 'give punters unfair edge'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/racin ... l#comments
I've always been surprised it's not been more widely used given how tech-savvy in-play traders generally are on course
A further article from today about Drones and inrunning punting:

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/ ... MAaKUGtKVM
A 5 minute news section on BBC East Midlands from last night with footage of drones in use during the races on Sunday at Southwell. Southwell say they have had drones there for every meeting in the last 6 months.

The program is only available until 7pm tonight on iPlayer, it is the first news segment:

First three races at Chepstow put back 5 minutes, the rest are to run to schedule.

Nice to have some largely bot free trading with these delayed 5 minutes. The proliferation of 'botting' on balance I feel is a significant negative to the markets.

You sounded kinda like Yoda here, PDC :D.

Sure bots noise markets. I like when something fcks up at betfair and race starts cleared from most of the bots.

The Altior market looks 'interesting', that's going to be real tricky today.

It's a shame that it's 1/8 and there are only three runners, else it could be a good market.

Watching RTV it feels like you are in your local betting shop, race after race, no build up, results, analysis, interviews. Meanwhile tumble weed is being shown on SSR.

Easiest job in the world must be being a RTV oncourse pundit on a Saturday, you don't have to do anything!

As I'm remotely based today I've been using the website and that's worked pretty well for me despite the delay, which I know is important for you. I've noticed if you stop and start it, the buffer doesn't kick in till later.
