Today's Horse Racing
I think people often have too high an expectation for some of these middling meetings. They have never been amazing but too many people turn up now with big stakes and disrupt the market. Should be better by the weekend.

ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.
Lost my internet at EXACTLY the wrong moment and of course it went against me. I know most of you don't give a damn but sharing my pain might just remind a few people to be mindful that it can happen. For once I hadn't got my closing positions sat there at 'take sp'. S*d it.
It's going to take at least a week to get it back and that's a miserable prospect atm that's going to be a real test of resolve.

That stinks. It's difficult to retain a positive mindset when that happensShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:31 pmouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.

Yep. It's a dangerous time especially if you start thinking that a loss of (X + a bet to maybe get it back) isn't much worse than a guarenteed loss of X. That way madness lies. Sticking a ton on the next fav might make it go away but it won't prove anything if you're honest with yourself.
Nevermind eh...I'm just trying to think that how I cope with it is a much better indication of sucess today than any particular bottom line.
It won't make any difference after Friday anyway, that £115m euro lottery is in the bag cos I've splashed out and had two tickets.
you should have a back up internet connection (3g) because as you said "it can happen"ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:31 pmouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.

I do have a backup connection but it was just at the off, it was a sprint and in the 20secs it takes me to swap over the damn thing was poised and cruising.
I've done more than my share of preaching on the topic but figuring out what the issue is, flipping the phone to hotspot mode and getting the pc to recognise it just takes time.
Does anyone here have a seemless fallback? I'd love to know how it's done.

Yeah, phone goes on to hotspot mode at the start of a session. Connect the pc/laptop to the router directly with an ethernet cable and then connect the wifi to the mobile hotspot. Windows will use the ethernet connection whilst it's live and switch to wifi automatically if connection drops. Any windows from 7 onwards will do that.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 7:16 pm.
