Sandown's been good for me, looking forward to Newcastle.

Agree, I've picked off some good results from Sandown.

This is why I hate the term "cut your losers, let your profits run"

It trivialises edge, & causes death by a thousand cuts

That in effect is a -7R loss in a single race, which would be interesting to test. i.e. Is the stop hindering

it's the point at which the trade isn't doing what I expected,
have found that w/ more 'rope' not only is my performance worse, my emotions get going and it's further downhill from there

That's what I wanna hear :) So long as it's a justified stop, it's a good stop

One of my focuses tonight is in fact holding vs targets

It's whatever 8 has defined as his risk per trade

i.e. 2ticks, 5ticks, 10ticks (so long as he's trading simply ;) )

The fact he had -1R (7 times) suggested to me, a tight stop

@Derek
Just means I'm trading with similar risk on each trade, 1R for me is around 1.2% of my account.
Getting a bit silly now, 11 market drought. Thankful for the opportunity to develop my emotional resilience though.

Will see what the eve card has in store.
