Today is the official start of the new flat turf season, finally the ‘flat is back’, although it does seem to of come around quicker this year.

If your newish to trading this blog is worth a read on what to expect as the jumps season ends and the flat takes over

Seems early I think because there's still not much sign of spring in the air. Clocks go forward too which is always welcome news.

The Brocklesby (first 2yo race of the season) is always a bit of fun to trade on, as long as you don't get too serious with it. :)

any reason why the better opportunities seem to be at the back end of the afternoon?

The 14:15 is not BA or BF guessing they had dropped it for whatever reason?

Betfair has started replacing markets of late, so you will need to reload the market list by refreshing it from file/select market, then hitting the refresh option and adding markets again to guardian. You will be looking at a 'stale' market. No idea why they have started doing that.

I think it's something to do with the word 'Bangor'. I think it's happened a few times at that course, and most days (on other software I use) phantom markets load up at......Bangor!

I am finding it really annoying as I filter on marketId's based on data from early morning, if they get changed I miss the market.
