Great to see Winx back in action - if only she'd come over to Royal Ascot and take on the Europeans.

Another group 1 about to start at Randwick and then one at Flemington to follow.

With nothing to speak of in the UK the Aussie stuff is the best chance today.

Effortless win. In another class to the rest.

Cliff's Edge in the next at Flemington has been good to me today, has traded in a nice little range all day for some nice green!

Just heard Royal Ascot is still under consideration after all, with a preference to the Queen Anne.

Guys, what happened at the last Ascot race? My lay bet on Floyd matched before going inplay and it looks like there was a big price drop. I didn't watch this market, so maybe someone saved this market's data or at least betfair graph?

Just noticed lately, a lot of Aussie racecourses have had their market base rate commission dropped to 5%.

Do you have details on this Derek?

Got an email from BF last week: "" The Market Base Rate (MBR) for Victorian thoroughbreds has been cut to 5% for March and April. "

I don't have any details but my accounting database has the MBR for each meeting so commission automatically gets calculated. I've noticed recently the commission errors and one by one I find they've been changed to 5%. Though from what Mcgoo says, it appears it applies to meetings in Victoria. Presumably there must have been a change in turnover charges?

It looks like it's not just Victoria. Warwick Farm (Queensland) has had it's MBR reduced from 10% to 6%.
