Apart from Geelong I battled today - since the Spring Carnival has hit top gear I'm only finding the weekends any good, midweek it's not suiting me

Quite common for everything but the main meetings to "fall away". When I checked in on the automation results, Geelong volume looked to be very strong, but Randwick (Kensington) was less impressive than a typical midweek event.

Warning to newbies reading this banter, side meetings on Melbourne Cup Day are generally to be avoided unless you are a small markets specialist.

Yes I just had a look on this thread last year and the races are just so close together that the others just don't trade well (cup day and Oaks day)

Huge amounts, normally this meeting only really gets significant money for the G1 but liquidity in metro Melb. at the minute is well above average

Even Launceston is clearing $200k.

Racing Victoria are running their night meetings much earlier so far this year. They are typically finishing at 8:45; as opposed to 10 or 10:30.

Incredible IP spreads at MV in that race. It was 95/105 at worst for most of the race
