I think I had my best afternoon ever today: +$1,240.

Very happy with the result.
I envy you, not for the money you've won but the fact that you're in a warm part of the world.

It's annoying watching Australian racing in mid winter and seeing the presenters sweating in the heat. :)

It hit 16 in Melbourne yesterday.

Is that hot in your part of the world?

I was trading at Goulburn tonight. The presenters were complaining that it's as cold as 13 degrees C.

In the UK, 5 degrees is cold, -3 is very cold. We consider ourselves lucky to get a bit of sunshine, even in the summer time!

I do love Brissie weather..hot..humid..storm..hot ;)
Edit: This time of year is hot & stormy. In winter it does drop a bit to 10-15 Deg C..which even after 10 yrs in London, feels comparatively bloody chilly :) Got nothing on those windy sleeting rainy UK winter days though

The first time I arrived in Melbourne was mid July 1998. We couldn't believe how bloody cold it was, we could literally see our breath in the air.

I honestly don't think the average British person has any idea that some parts of Oz gets that cold

The marketing always makes you think its 40c all year round.

I'm not actually in Melbourne but it's been an unusually cool start to November across all of the eastern seaboard.

They are forecasting 16 and possible rain for Cup day. Not ideal for the ladies  .

Perhaps the films more so than the marketing. You don't get many films set in the colder months of Australia.

I remember Betfair went down for about half an hour to an hour and I had to hedge out the first race through a bookmaker!! So let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Happy Cup Day!

For what it's worth.

2. Almandin
5. Marmelo
9. Max Dynamite
13. Big Duke
Humidor????

I'll be watching out for any move on Humidor. The camp like a bet and he was well supported in the Caulfield Cup. If he can reproduce his last run at today's distance he just about wins.

Good luck.

Amelies Star and Tiberian for me.

Bit of a lottery though but it's my favourite race of the year!
