I suspect quarantine may be an issue, but for that sort of money you would think it's worth a top horse staying for 2-3 races.PDC wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 4:17 amThe prize money in the All Star Mile is just crazy, why UK owners don't have more horses trained in Australia I do not know.
Of $5,000,000.1st $2,250,000, 2nd $720,000, 3rd $360,000, 4th $210,000, 5th $150,000, 6th $90,000, 7th $90,000, 8th $90,000, 9th $90,000, 10th-14th $90,000

I was meaning having them trained there permanently. With the amount of prize money on offer on Saturday at the main tracks (not looked at the other tracks and mid week stuff) you could easily afford to fly out 1st Class and have a week or two there on holiday as well and probably see your horse run 3 times.
Which is what happens when the European stayers come for the Spring carnival.PDC wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 4:59 amI was meaning having them trained there permanently. Looking forward to the G1 and the All Star - otherwise slim picking for me.
I'm taking the Mrs to dinner and need to produce the goods.

Traded really well from quite a bit out. I don't normally start trading markets as far out as I did that one but with the Gold Coast off I switched to it earlier than I would normally and it all just came together a treat.
Been an excellent session and that was the cherry on top.
