Not sure if BA gives you the data to excel but you can look at amounts available/on offer/matched for all runners separately or per market via the APi so you can guage how liquid a market is and adjust for it.

Stop for the session? You don’t consider each event to be independent with a long term positive edge? Interested - think it through.
Agreed, unless you are mentally in a bad place it doesn't make sense to stop. Otherwise you are picking heads because heads is on a winning streak.
Yep. It is possible to go on “tilt” or at least it is for me - I’ve been there.
Yes, I was definitely on tilt last night by the time I finished!

I have a nasty history of blowing up accounts so I need to be uber cautious with drawdown as it's proven very dangerous for me to continue trading if there's even a slight possibility it's from an emotional perspective. Like Derek, I'll walk away if I've broken my rules as that's generally a sign that I've already switched to emotional trading (-ve expectancy) but there are times when I enter that state and I find myself not walking away after I've been triggered which is why I take a prudent/anticipatory approach at the expense of missing a few markets.

I should add that sometimes I'm feeling fine and following all my rules, just not trading very well or the markets aren't conducive to what I'm trying to do, so I prefer to call it a certain point and come back fresh rather than potentially dig a deeper hole.

Devonport's fun. 8 ticks one way and then 8 ticks the other. :D

Happy with the last G1 of the Queensland carnival.

Wondered why that race stood out from the rest of my bots results.

With the exception of that chart I posted above I found this mornings trading pretty hard work. Couldn't sleep last night so I might start going to bed earlier, give the Australian racing a miss and catch more of our sunshine.

The liquidity seems to have fallen off a cliff, the POC tax can't have had a positive effect

Bear in mind, it is mid winter so even I probably won't get up early to trade them.

Card at Sunshine Coast looks half decent tonight.

Going to make an effort to ease into the session this week.

Hopefully the card isn't lost to the wet weather.

You are unlikely to make a session in the first bit but you can sure well lose it so a steady start is a good approach to take to get you in the right mindset after last week.

BFLV has Caulfield for those interested.
