Peter / Derek do you guys get hit by the Racing NSW turnover charge as well? I've had to stop trading the NSW races its too easy to rack up the turnover.

Shame because Redzel looking very stable there at the 1.45/1.46 mark.
I keep a spreadsheet of my trading totals and number of markets traded in NSW. I also avoid trading horses under around 3.5, to keep my turnover down.

Theoretically you can trade as much as you like as long as you keep under 25 markets, but from what's been said earlier in this long thread, if you avoid the turnover charge and cost Betfair money as a result, they will eventually tell you to stop!

For such a short price the turnover was tiny, so I think a lot of people are skipping them.

Reportedly lost a couple of teeth and suffering from concussion.
Got off very lightly then - he certainly took a big tumble!
I was annoyed with my cat this evening when she gave me a whack on the nose. I know jockeys are tougher than I am but I still wouldn't call losing two teeth, if that's what happened, getting off lightly. Though I understand what you mean - it could have been much worse.

I'm having a dabble at Randwick as well as Flemington so I expect I'll get one soon.

Positive news about Hugh Bowman, mild concussion and abrasion on face and foot, no serious issues and should be out of hospital tomorrow.

They didn't say anything about the two lost teeth reported earlier - and I've still got the cut on my nose!

Show Honey R7 Ascot, backed from 7.4 to 2.7 in last 2 minutes - knew something was up, ended up being a NR

Only took 17.2% out of the market too so what's that late 5.s?

Another Hugh Bowman update: pretty good news all things considered.

I don't know why Australian TV (don't know what channel, it's shown on AtTheRaces here) reported that he lost two teeth - I hate to hear news like that. But I'm really pleased that he's not as badly injured as we all feared at the time.

This isn't an important question, just asking out of curiosity: does anyone know why Betfair video only covers Australian racing after 6am ?

Flemington's not the easy scalper's paradise as it usually is, but trading it is still a nice way to relax and unwind after Cheltenham. :D
