£318K matched in a handicap (R7 Caul)

Swear these numbers are getting bigger :)
Certainly my impression..over a mil $A matched on Doomben...just as this big trader quietly moves to 75c profit for the day...>>>>>> eyeing up boats in the local marina

Seems to be an army of scalping bots keeping prices steady - a refreshing change from the helter-skelter of UK markets.

Wow, I am unbelievably crap at trading Aussie Pace and GH markets.Volatility aside my reading is virtually 60% wrong-even when I reverse my strategy :D .Gawd  ..I do believe trading is the opposite of what I am good at. Still, what else am I gonna do with my time

I can't speak for greyhound markets but the harness races were very gappy tonight and only serious money coming in the last 30 secs

Probably a result of Pakenham being on

Looks like Flemington is back to 6% market base rate. Unless there's an error in my database it was 5%.

Not sure but not seen a permanent update to this https://www.betfair.com.au/staging-hubv ... ase-rates/ yet
On another note:
I noticed something interesting today and I think I know why but comment welcome. I had a successful trade +10% and noticed it was a maiden..went back over today's racing and saw that most of my + trades were on maidens or 2yo races.Hcap not so good :) I downloaded 4500 races from BF and sure enough I am more than 90% better on maidens,2yo,3yo and to some extent CL2 and CL3 races than Handicaps. I absolutely, categorically see my a** on Hcaps :o . Some of my results include bots but since bots reflect my thinking and the sample set is quite large, I am ok with those left in.How very interesting :geek:   Anyway, insights and comments welcome or perhaps this will help another amateur like me.It has changed how I look at races so hopefully a little step up....will watch space etc

Yes promotion ended at the end of April.

Some good group racing today in Adelaide and Brisbane today. Good liquidity.

A$750k matched for the Goodwood in Adelaide.

Can't think of many bigger races in South Australia.
