Yes on the group races where there is decent liquidity. Otherwise it is just mucking around and a way to while away the hours.PeterLe wrote:

I know virtually nothing about UK horse racing let alone Aus racing. is there an easy way to identify the group races from guardian?
Coincidentally, I was looking through Betfair.data last night and there were some things that jumped off the page related to Aus.
I have traded these markets in the past, but will take another look at them.

I know virtually nothing about UK horse racing let alone Aus racing. is there an easy way to identify the group races from guardian?
Coincidentally, I was looking through Betfair.data last night and there were some things that jumped off the page related to Aus.

I did think of something like that this Jan. I remember talking to Euler about it. The idea was simple:gazuty wrote:You can think your way around it, and synthetically back horses.
If I (or with somebody's help) could come up with a way to form an 'Index' (think like S&P500, FTSE500) and group the money and odds of the some front runners (especially if they're moving counter to each other) then that would reduce the overall volatility and....
