i think the market in this case may have responded far more quickly due to the timing of the goal (11th minute). i reckon you may have to split up your bets into timebands to attempt to catch the perceived value across the various timebands of the game. i'd think in 10 minute segments and try to determine fair value on a goal being scored inside any of these segments. of course, if there's a LOT of activity, that will naturally increase the unders odds. in short, this rule is such a basic starter that i feel you'll need to invest your energy in identifying the nuances of the games that you feel will qualify for this rule.

if it's any consolation, i have a couple of rules that are only SAFE to apply to games that have a very tightly bound balance on the odds ahead of the start of the game. you may do well to start from that position in determining how to build this up further. trust me, you MAY stumble upon a balance of odds where the rule works for 90% of the games that you actively identify - however, it does need this spadework up front first to get under the skin of the intention.

pun definitely intended (in this game anyway :)) -you need to find the platitudes

[edit] interestingly, the 2nd goal came at the 81st minute mark. *occassionally* ( ;) ) in a *busy* game, this 72-80 minute mark can produce a fairly decent opportunity, IF the activity has ramped up after half time.. this may be another angle to look at!

I have tried this tonight in the river plate match and after a goal went in pretty early in the 1st half nothing happened for about 2 mins after the market went back inplay. After the 2 min wait time a lay bet was put in at 1.15 but the price on over 2.5 was 1.49 so it never matched and got cancelled.

I thought straight after a goal is scored it is meant to lay over 2.5 for around the same price as the over 1.5 market?
Yes it places a lay on O2.5 at the previous SV of the O1.5 market, the lay is continually re-submitted every minute so it is already at the price ready for someone to take if a goal is scored

At the time of the goal, I can see a lay was waiting at 1.45 (so was in the right place ready for the market to reform) but I can see from the log it was not 'kept' so was actually canceled when the market was suspended for the goal

The keep bets rule triggers 10 secs after each lay bet is triggered, but I can also see from the log the match you have run it on has a 12sec in-play delay so the keep unmatched bets rule is triggering 2 secs before the bet arrives in the market.

If you're going to use on a league with a 10+ sec delay then if you go onto the keep unmatched bets rule and onto the condition tab and change the time used from 10 and 15 secs to 15 and 20 secs that will solve it

This looks like a good bit of kit, i have been trying to catch these odds manually and i am simply not fast enough. I have been wanting something like this for ages, Would this work just as good on monitoring the 0.5 and using the 1.5 as the laying side ?

You have the right idea with this bot and it works great, but it needs to be laying the under 2.5 not the over, as the odds will drop on the over should a goal be scored mate ? Brilliant idea though mate. i am going to try and modify this to keep doing as it is doing but on the under 2.5 goals but add a bet on under 1.5 to offset the accepted bet on the over 2.5 if that makes sense ?. lol. well i am going to try anyway :)

Yes it can be used on any combination of the followong over/under markets
ie, 0.5 & 1.5
1.5 & 2.5
2.5 & 3.5 etc

You say:

" If it is matched, then no further bets will be placed (you could if you wish to add some offsetting to the lay bet if your strategy is to just try and get matched quickly after a goal and pinch a few quick ticks etc)."

How to do it and where ? Would i have to create another, extra rule in "Lay O2.5 using SV from O1.5 Mkt.baf" file or should it be in the same file in "lay overs" > "parameters" > "global settings" "offset bet with greening" ?

Yes, just use the offset bet with greening option on the parameters tab of the lay rule

I noticed it lays the O2.5 price very low after goal is scored. Sometimes i have to wait quite a while to get my price matched to be honest. Where can i change that ? Is it in "‘SV from O1.5’" where the 5 ticks are or "lay O2.5...." >"condidtions" >"last traded price 90..." the "plus 15 ticks" one ?

Its needs to be changed in the O1.5 SV rule, which is currently set as plus 5 ticks
