you only make 50 if two get matched and lose 50 if one gets matched so your betting evens you either win or lose 50 no?

if you lay every runner at 1.5 for 100 stake and one gets matched you lose 50 if two gett matched then you make 50 it really a even chance that to get matched and 1.5 dont seem much value to me

The skill is picking the correct races, competitive 5f,6f and 7f seem to work best of all and also picking the correct lay price is also a bit of a test too. It can work well but it needs lots of research and practice to get it to work the majority of the time. I have never really had much success with it myself but it is a genuine well used strategy.

Hello, I am using this technique, but I see the bot sometimes actually places the lay bet 2 times on 1 selection, like in the image I attached, how can I stop him from doing this? I only want to lay 1 time the selection, not 2 or 3 times.

Have you made any changes to the bot? It was made to only trigger the once on all selections so should be no reason for 2 lays to ever be placed on the same selection.

I changed it a little bit, but the rule is set to arm 1 times

The changes you have made there definetly wont have anything to do with why its placed two bets.

How many times has happened or is this the first and if it was did you edit or re-save the rule during the time it was armed?

Also are you in the UK? the reason I ask is the times showing in your first image are for 20:10 race but the names of the runners relate to the 18:10 race.
Although this still should nt have caused it to fire twice if you have your PC or VPS clock set different to the time your using on Betfair it will cause problems with timings on automations so make sure these are in sync.

It just happened one time, here is the log also if it helps, I only started testing this method yesterday, I will see today also how it works. It's true that I'm not from England, here it''s GMT+2, but as you can see the bet was placed at the same second twice, and the clock is synced from the internet.

As you can see, it places the bets at 20:09:21, keeps in play, and after that places them again at 20:10:13, I think that is when the race actually started.

Your orginal image loked like it double fired on one selection some how but the log suggests the whole rule has triggered a 2nd time. If have gone into the rule (even if on a different market) and clicked 'save' before exiting - doing this will cause it to re-trigger on all markets its applied to (unless there was a unmatched bets condtion in place).

If it happens again post back in the mean time you should check the time setting your using with Betfair to ensure thay match your local time zone and PC clock, if not the timings of your rules etc will be out and wont trigger corectly.

I think you are right, I might have modified something, clicked saved the rule and then it applied again. Also in my betfair account the setting is for GMT+2 (Preferred Timezone: EET) So the only explanations remains that I clicked on 'save' when the bot was in play.

Hi, I am looking to lay the field but dont want the bets to fire unless 2 or more horses get matched at 2.0. Then have it set for say 1.5 for example. New to automation so would appreciate any help with this one, thanks

Do you mean only fire the bets once two runners have traded at or below 2.0 at any point during the race - or if two runners trade at or below 2.0 at exactly the same time?

Hi Dallas, yes, only when at least 2 have been matched at 2.0 at any point in the race. When 2 have been matched then it fires in the lay the field.

This can be achieved by adding a few signals to the rule, first create a new rule type by clicking on the green plus icon then,

General
Set/Modify a Signal
armed 00:00:01
to 00:10:00
trigger 2 times, re-arm 2 secs
Applies to POS 1 in order of Fav

Conditions
Fixed odds condtion
Selections 'Last traded price'
is 'Less' than 2.0

Signal Set Condtion
The Signal named 'something else'
for 'the selection'
is NOT set with a value

Signals
Signal for Market
Action 'Increment Signal Value'
Signal Name 'anything you want'

Signal for Selection
Action ‘Set Signal’
Signal Name ‘something else’ Value ‘any number’

Then to the existing lay the field rule type add

Conditions
Signal Value Condition
The Value of the Signal named ‘anything you want’
For ‘the Market’
Is ‘equal’ to 2

That now requires two different runners to set a signal when they trade at 2.0 or less as soon as the 2nd signal has been set the LTF rule will trigger.
