Hi Dallas

I've been using your bot. It's worked a treat generally but I've hit a few issues.

I've adapted it to take 20% not 50%. I've also adapted it to take the SP. These work fine.

My problem is that:
It sends bets in too late. I'm getting some trades returning up to 37%, but mostly 25-ish. This works the other way, in that the trade doesnt match and I've lost two trades which should have won where there was plenty liquidity to lay.

Yesterday, I had 100 at 2.3 BSP. 2x lays went in at 1.91 and 1.99. Then it tried to place a back bet @2.5 which didn't get matched. I ended up greening £1.92 on that horse and it went on to win.

Also, what do you make of this:
13/05/2017 18:14:00: Market changed to Thirsk 13th May - 18:15 5f Hcap
13/05/2017 18:14:54: [G_Auto] : £ 100.00 Back bet placed on Storm Trooper at 18. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 92767569152
13/05/2017 18:14:56: [G_Auto] : Modify bet persistence 92767569152 from 'Cancel' to 'Take SP'

13/05/2017 18:15:59: Market has been suspended
13/05/2017 18:16:01: Market is in-play
13/05/2017 18:16:01: Market has been unsuspended
13/05/2017 18:16:31: [G_Auto] : Placed closure bet with greening on Storm Trooper by Laying 149.64 at 6.6
13/05/2017 18:16:34: [G_Auto] : An error occurred while Placing closure bet with greening on Storm Trooper by Laying 91.10 at 8.6 [8.6_91.1]: The order cannot be processed as your betfair account does not have enough funds (or has exceeded its exposure limit).
13/05/2017 18:16:34: [G_Auto] : Cancelling bets 92767840306
13/05/2017 18:16:59: Market has been suspended
Should have been a green trade, ended up losing £70. SP was 9.88. I only got matched a lay of £30.93 @6.60

Is there any way for it to put in a lay straight after my back bet is matched. Just a simple 100 @ 5.0.. 120 @4.0 etc ?
I just need the 20% and that's it, it's not working for bet angel to wait around for the market to drop and then placing a bet.

Thank You

Just seen your other thread: DOBing @ 50% & Back 2 Lay @ 20% Guardian Automation Bot ( http://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic ... 52&t=13629 )

I will be trying that. Hopefully that works the way I want :)

Does "Best Market Price" mean SP? I would want SP. Sorry if this clutters the thread, you can move it over, which ever is best.

If your using Bet Angel V1.47 or above the option to offset by percentages was added so you can now place the offset at required odds as soon as the opening bet is matched (rather than wait for it to be triggered off the profit as the price drops like this one does)

There was a new DOBing rule added to the shared files library which uses this new offset percentage option

lol no probs was just replying with the same link :)

No 'Best Market Price' is the best odds available at the time it triggers, your best off taking this at/close to post time so the offset can be placed and kept before race goes in play.

Hi,

In the last two days I have been running this bot and have found the same problem as detailed by a couple of other users.

Yesterday, the close trade and green up of both selections fired too many times and turned a win into a loss. So, I changed the 'close trade and green up' to a 'green all selections' on each nomination, but the same thing happened again today.

Both trades closed but fired too many times once again and a winning trade turned into a losing one. It could have been a big (for me) losing trade today but ended up as only a couple of quid.

Here is a screen shot of the Log, I hope thats what you need?

Thanks
Kaz

Have you made any changes to the automation file in-particular the timings used for the green up?
there were set to trigger up to 3 times with a 3 sec re-arm time which is clearly not happening from your log

Hi Dallas,

Yesterday the answer would have been no, I hadnt made any changes when the same thing happened.

Today the answer is yes I have changed it so that its a 'green up' rule rather than a 'close trade and green up' rule but as to timings, no, I have not altered any timings. The green up is simply set to trigger at a certain figure nothing more than that.

I hope that helps ?

Thanks, and thanks for the note about the PM too.

It needs to be left as a Close trade on selection with greening to monitor the profit of each runner individually, by using 'green all' your effectively triggering the green up on both runners at the same time when their collective total profit is greater than £10, and if you have used two 'green all selection' rules that is why both runners are getting two green ups every time it triggers.

Hi Dallas,

Thanks for that, and I will make sure to change that.

But with the greatest respect, that doesnt explain why it happened the day before, when I hadnt made any alterations?

Without seeing the log for that market its impossible to say, the most likely reason is down to either your guardian settings and/or a slight blip with Betfairs API. There is another DOBing rule which uses the recently added % offset feature rather than triggering the green up from a profit condition, you could try that rule

I have been playing around with this and I was wondering if it's possible to create a trailing in play stop loss that follows into profit? If so, how would it be it be implemented?

Thanks,
Bradders
