This is a basic Guardian automation rule for use on Horse Racing markets

This bot will back which ever horse is 2nd fav in price for £10 at the approx half way stage of the race, the purpose of this bot is to show just one way the new "Race Distance" condition added in Bet Angel V1.43 can be used.

The file can be applied to all the days races and it will filter out and ignore all those which are over 1 mile, For those that are 1 mile and under within the file there is a seperate rule type for each distance and by using the "Race Distance" condition only the rule type relating to the distance of the current race will be used.

Each is set with a slightly different trigger time which will be the approx half way stage for that length of race.

You can add additional distances to the rule very quickly and easily and also see details relating to race times (see post below for details).

To use the file just click on the Back the 2nd Fav at the Half Way Stage.Baf attachment link below and this will download it to your computer, then with guardian open on the "Automation" tab click "Import a Rules File" as shown in the image, once imported it will now appear in the drop down box just above, you can now apply it to any markets you have added into guardian.

The stake size can be edited very easily by clicking on "Edit Rules File" then click on the "Parameters" tab and change to whatever you require.

With any automation bot always run in practice mode first to ensure everything is working fine, and repeat this each time you make any changes

To see a video tutorial on how to download and import an automation file into your Bet Angel please see this link

Adding additional race distances couldn't be easier, after clicking on "Edit Rules File" and highlighting the bottom rule type follow the 5 simple steps below (or see image)

1) Duplicate the highlighted rule type
2) Rename with the new race distance (or whatever you want)
3) Set your trigger times
4) Go to Conditions tab
5) Add the new race length

Then click apply and save and repeat for and many race distances as you want.

To help with deciding what trigger times to use this spreadsheet (shared on another thread) contains all the average races times from all the UK and Irish courses.
Just click on the Standardtimes.xls file link below to download

This looks very interesting, thanks Dallas.

Is there anywhere explaining how this new feature (race distance) works? I must have missed this.

As yet the user guide has not been updated but this usually follows a short time after the updates are released.

It works as a filter so instead of needing to create multiple rule files then applying different ones depending on the race type/length you can make one rule file which can be applied to most races.

So if you wanted to only run a rule on races for example over 2miles you could use the
"Race Distance" condition
Is "Greater" than 16F (2 miles)

Then apply the rule to ALL the days races (without the need to go through checking the distance of each one) and the rule its self will only trigger on the races of 2 miles or longer.

Or as shown in the example in the OP its very handy to identify the length of a race if your using timings to trigger bets at various stages of the race.

There's a dedicated section where all the ladder, one-click settings, layout, charts etc get posted
viewforum.php?f=62

The direct link for the one you want is this one

There's also a Guardian list layout that displays them to
