This servant is for use on pre-race horse racing markets with the ideal type of markets/selections being those which are stable where the price trades within a few tick’s range or when a drifting bias is evident.

Its purpose is to take 1 tick scalps, but with the added task of placing a second lay 1 tick below at the same time but for double the amount. So, when started the Servant will place 2 lays into the market but only in favourable conditions ie, when the WOM on the lay side is greater than 70% and the lay book % is greater than 99%

The first lay bet will be placed at the best market price using 50% of the context stake (this is the stake you have set for that selection on the ladder or one-click screen) this will offset with greening by 1 tick when matched while at the same time the second lay bet is placed 1 tick below using 100% of the context stake value you have set.

If the offset from the first lay is matched, then this 2nd lay is cancelled, and the servant will of completed its job having secured a 1 tick profit. It can now be restarted whenever you want.

However, if the offset from the 1st lay is not matched and the price moves down and the 2nd lay gets matched then the servant will now place a ‘Green Up’ bet at the reverse price. Again, the servant has now completed its job and can now be restarted whenever you want.
By doing this you should still have a profit even though the price went against the initial lay and offset.

To visualise this better if you look at the image below the servant has just triggered, the first lay of £50 (which is 50% of the £100 stake that’s set for this selection above the ladder) has been placed at 3.7 and immediately matched so the offset with greening is placed 1 tick higher at 3.75. At the same time, the 2nd lay of £100 (which is 100% of the stake above the ladder) is also placed 1 tick below at 3.65.

If that offset bet is matched you will of greened up for 0.67p profit and the £100 lay will be cancelled and the servant will of done its job.

In the next image, you will see before the offset was matched the 2nd lay was taken at 3.65 and this has now triggered a new green-up at the reverse price of 3.70 (and cancelled the original offset at 3.75) you can see now if the green-up bet is matched you will have a profit of £1.35.

So even though the price moved 1 tick against the original lay we can still get a profit and bigger one if we can get this green-up bet matched at the reverse price.

The servant also has a ‘Market NOT in-play’ condition so if it's been started (but not yet triggered) and you forget to stop it before a market goes in-play it WON’T be able to trigger.

To use this servant just click on ASC Double Up Scalping.Baf attachment links below and this will download it to your computer, then open your Servant Manager window and click the rules link at the top and then "Import a Rules File" as shown in the image, once imported it will now appear in your drop-down boxes and is ready to be started whenever required.

Once you have it imported into your Servant Manager it can be edited very easily simply by clicking on "Edit Rules File".

With any servant always run in practice mode first to ensure everything is working fine, and repeat this each time you make any changes.

See the following thread for step by step instructions on downloading and importing a servant into your Bet Angel, or see image below on were to import it into your Servant Manager.

TIP

The Servant can, of course, be edited any way you want but one of the things you may want to do is have the lays placed at your preferred odds rather than have them trigger at the best odds when the conditions are met.

For example, you may see a market which looks like this and therefore want to place the first lay at 2.02 so that the second lay gets placed at 2.00, this way you can take advantage of both the end of a defined traded range and also the cross-over at 2.0 which should be difficult for price just to go straight through.

If you wanted to use the servant in this way just open the rules editor and on the Parameters, tab make the two changes highlighted in the images below.

After that move onto the conditions tab and remove all three conditions by highlighting them and clicking the green minus sign, you can then apply the changes, save the rule and its ready to use.

All you need do now is ensure your cursor is hovering over the lay price you want the first lay placing at and ‘Start’ then servant as normal, it will then do the rest.
