🇫🇷 have a great chance to stamp some authority today. Could look like the winners if they perform and even become market leaders.

Certainly getting a load of penalties via the VAR, they're being very lenient in granting them

That would seem to lend itself to see value on overs

It was supposed to be used in situations where the ref has made a clear/obvious mistake but looking at some of the pens, in particular, it seems like its being used to award where ever a foul etc is committed no matter how small

that would prob be true for club football as we assume that teams want to attack all the time.

But in this world cup all i see is teams finding one goal then happy to just sit back once they find it. That 1 penalty goal might just seal the game.

50% people here voted for Germany. I doubt they will win the cup as their team is not it was in world cup 2014.
They had senior leadership of Philipp Lahm backed by the tactical approach of Schweinsteiger. :ugeek:
I am on the internet right now and waiting for Francs vs Peru to start. I am supporting France because they deserve a chance to play the final.

not exactly a fan of the Virtually Awful Refereeing system, think decisions even themselves out over the season, takes out the excitement of the game, & it ain’t exactly reliable, (France penalty that never was against Australia)

France weren’t convincing earlier, Argentina ditto tonight

But not in a knockout tourney.

Decisions have been quick so far but the refs are leaning on it a bit much. Not bad for early days though. I like it.
