FYI, We are not fully up to date, but in the last 63 English matches we have monitored the average time of the first goal was 31m 45 secs. The away team took the lead on 35% of occasions.

Those stats can be quite useful Betangel, is there a Data base of football stats that can cross analyse stats like that?
For example if the score at HT is 1-0 how many times the home team goes on to score 5 goals?

I think the Spread betting compilers used to have it generally at around 37 mins & then adjust up or down according to the teams/division/ etc.
Maybe the average time for 1st goal is coming down?

Also handy to note that although the English Premiership is still top of all the English divisions on average goals/match it is now down to 2.77 for this season now that the teams have settled down but was over 3.1 for much of the 1st half of the season.

Switzerland are running highest at 3.35 with Austria at 3.14 & I've been wondering if there is a common factor in these 2 countries top divisions being highest in GPM?

Could it be high altitude?
Then again Holland is low & they have a fairly high GPM?

Be careful with the first goal stat, we are saying any team, not just the home team. If you isolate it to that then the average time goes up.
