I dont follow this sport, but, seem to recall, there was some odd stat, that Man u hadnt scored from a corner, for a huge chuck of time .. like maybe 5 yrs ? a few yrs ago.

I watch huge numbers of football matches - really notice how often corners provide chances for the team defending them when they clear it (on the break away). In otherwise structured matches. cleared corners are often the only time when one side over-commits numbers forward. Happens time and time again, e.g. Rio Ave vs Benfica (0-1) last weekend where Benfica's only goal (and only chance) came from a break-away after defending a corner.
