you're apparently a lot like the backroom staff at Leeds then, not to mention the players.
As you know I use my own stats. to determine "match value" but they're straight win and lay bets usually with tiny profit margins and not really useful for trading.
I'm a big fan of Soccer Mystic and the model graphs which predict how a price will react with time and the scoring of a goal. In addition to that the Soccer Mystic handbook gives some pretty big hints about how to use the model. Obviously BA can't come out and say "strategy X will work" but studying the manual on draws, over/under and correct scores should result in you being able to devise fun, i.e. profitable, strategies for football,
