Real Madrid lose the World Cup for Spain?

Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

Ok, I've gone for a bit of headline there, but this is amazing stuff.

For what it's worth, I've dumped my position on Spain at a small loss. I don't know if that's the right call, but chaos can't help preparation and this couldn't be more a mess, especially given the history of Barca/Real splits.

This is why Spain have won a World Cup and two Euros.

I don’t blame them, it’s the right decision based on the circumstances. Just like when they declined to take Costa before. It’s the right decision.

Whether it will help Spain or hinder their chances I don’t know.

Sign For real right before World Cup just after you negotiated a new contract. Bloody right imo.

I think the sacking is the right decision, too.

But - the circumstances which made that the right decision (Real news emerging before the World Cup) can't possibly be helpful.

Particularly if sentiment on whether it was the right decision is split within the dressing room between Real players vs others.

We can't know that, but there are just too many questions.

And first up for them is a very drawable (losable?) game against their nearest neighbours. If that goes wrong, then....

I think Portugal are massive under dogs. Missed the boat to back them to win the group though.
