Are the Saints fans here confident tonight?

Football, Soccer - whatever you call it. It is the beautiful game.

I know there's a few of you here - wanted to canvas your view.

I feel the saints price (a shade over evens) is very short. Seems to be hugely influenced by Brighton's poor away form.

And the fact that Southampton looked handy putting Palace away.

I suspect there's no value here at all, so if anyone can come up with an inventive way for me to do my money, I'd be very grateful. :D

The gamblers dilemma:

I feel the saints price (a shade over evens) is high.

Given Brighton's poor away form.

And the fact that Southampton looked handy putting Palace away.

I suspect the only reason its not odds on is that its Saints and not one of the big names.

Unfortunately I am of no use when it comes to football prices as I don’t trade or bet on it. But I watch a lot of it and being a bias saints fan.

I expect saints to get the job done but not by much. 1-0 or 2-1

The price suggests equally matched teams with a home advantage to Saints. I would think Saints are a little stronger than Brighton, but I'm biased so that would suggest their price is out. I can't make it tonight so I'd back Saints

Cheers lads.

So, to summarise, that's a full bank job, sell the farm, sail off into the sunset?

I should be a twitter tipster.... ;)

We made Saints look better than they are. Palace played a shocker.
No diss but I wouldn't give that stat much weight.

A draw.....says the guy who's 61st in the Super6
Plus a draw keeps them both below Palace so that's my pick.

Shaun - you did realise that I was ironically quoting brimson back at him?

Well, was a pen technically, but one of those were if that's a pen, then there's two at every corner.

Hughes showed why he's not a PL-manager to me. Hojbjerg and Lemina did an immense job for 45-60 minutes controlling a centre the two of them against three. Once they started running out of gas and Brighton overran them, he failed to address it (until way too late) by making it three vs three or failing that at least subbing one of them.

I didnt watch the game but from the way it unfolded it looks like it was a great trading opportunity.
I think one of Peter's videos called it trading the unlikely comeback.

You'll be happy to know that I didn't gamble, and was quite clear I had no idea about this game.

My biggest takeaway from this game was that I really like Brighton's away shirt. A homage to Bremen? :)

Here are the final hot zone stats.

Certainly a game of 2 halves.

My view point was Lay2Back Brighton in the 2nd half...Brighton started strongly so I held back...then So'ton got a pen to go 2-0...let the game go in the end. In hindsight Laying So'ton @ 2-0 should have been the L2B trade with little risk as the stats suggested Brighton were best 2nd half.
