Shots in match question

Hi all

Was trying to find out roughly what percentage of shots (just shots not shots on target) generally occur in each half. I note that there are more 2nd half goals than first half goals on average; so I assume that is the case for shots too? I am guessing 40/60 shot split for 1st/2nd halfs. Can anyone confirm the theory?
