Cross matching is present now even if the market is not overbroke.

There is certainly no inplay delay for the cross matcher, can be seen when it is turned off due to a late non runner in Racing.

These days it's pointless for any market makers to come along as XM will pretty much front run them at virtually no risk whatsoever.
Spotless. BF was beloved because you were able to get prices better than elsewhere, so it was worth waiting. Since Beijing Olympics we have this shit turned on all the time. I agree, that it's worse than Premium Charge, it creates nothing. No value, kills liquidity, its boring to observe the markets with it on.
I catched 500 pounds- draw football match @ 1.35 at Matchbook when it was 1.25 at betfair. Old betfair had those opportunities many more in old days.

Their exchange has potential for sure, I believe that they will be first to create real competition for BF. Matchbook have best price in whole industry.

Doesn't Matchbook ban winners though?

We need a pure exchange, no seeding, no funny business, no corporate monster cocking about with the markets constantly. We just need a normal ECN type arrangement that has worked so well in financial markets. The opportunity is there if somebody wants to do a proper job.

Not sure how much funding such a project would require but perhaps it could be done via http://www.kickstarter.com, the big backers could get certain benefits on the new exchange, or would any benefits defeat the whole purpose of trying to create a decentralized exchange?

It might be the right time for such a project with Augur also trying to take the world by storm.

www.jabet.com is a new commission free offering from the courtsider boss Jon Gale. Quite possibly because after Djsunset`s website he may not be so welcome on Betfair.

About time someone manned up and tried to offer an alternative to Betfair.

Or more likely he'd much rather put his courtsiders to work on his site where he doesn't pay 60% to Betfair. Can't see anything on his site to say what delay he's adding to bets, pretty sure it'll be 0 for his courtsider/market makers though :?
