Minimum liquidity in Tennis

Hello all,

I've read some conflicting figures, so I just thought I'd take a quick straw poll. What would be a good general figure to use for minimum liquidity if I was looking to set up automated trades during service games in Tennis?

I've set £300k as a minimum figure at present, but I'm wondering if this is acceptable.

Thanks

Never quite understood why people get so hooked up on previous traded amounts, I generally look at the amounts available and how tight the book is as to whether a market's tradeable for me.

I don't do automation but I guess, the book could be momentarily tight which would trigger your automation but from point to point there might be bigger spreads.

Tennis can be gappy especially on the underdog.

I go with the following:

- Favourite only
- Market Volume > £100k

But it really depends on who is playing who.

Why the tight book would trigger automation and big spreads?

There are two problems with low-liquidity markets.

1) You can't get much money on so it may not be worthwhile.

2) If you do open a trade you may have difficulty closing it due to lack of money in the market.
