Peter i'm very interested in trading golf and have read your posts on here relating to it. Obviously players that progress well will shorten as per your post above, but the key is how to select the right players - it isn't as easy as current form/course form. For the 20 odd players that have shortened there are 130 that haven't.

Love to have some more insight to how you actually trade the sport.

thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

lately I have been interested in golf trading (next to Horse Racing) and I am trying to understand at what stage you are placing the lay bets from above results?

Are the lay bets placed before the end of round 2 / just before the cut?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Ray

You would generally look to exit a position on a broad basis when they do the cut. However, if you're really interested in golf and watch it all the time there will be obvious opportunities as when to exit. For example, at the US Masters last year when Speith approached amen corner last year, it was worth laying him or backing somebody else on the basis he may not get through on par. As it turned out, his game fell apart during that part of the course.
