I will have a play this week on this event as normal. But I wonder whether it's worth backing some of the UK golfers for sports personality of the year. If they win price could come crashing in.

Put a post on the blog, I think the weather could play an important part. The conditions look OK at the moment and Daly has raced through the first nine in 31.

Looking at the way Daly played last week at Loch Lomond I think you have to be looking to lay him at some point.

It's a bit of pain that they couldn't finish this evening. This means an early start tomorrow to close out the final positions. I could do it tonight but there are still some interesting groups to finish. It's outside of my trading plan to close them early.

That's it for me on this tournament. Things get a little harder from the start of day three.

May take some speculative lays from now on. Suprised there isn't more interest in these big golf tournament they can throw up some great trades.

Nice result Peter, I must try to get back into doing this type of trading again. Were all of the above bets placed before start of play on Thursday(?).

Placed before the off, just looking to catch a few outsiders.

Was this a trade using golfing knowledge or by following some sort of wom signal on who was going to shorten?

I would like to find some info on how to trade golf but cant find anything anywhere...

Shameless plug here.

Check this thread out from one of my fav forums which has some good information regarding the trading of golf:

I achieved my result after placing fifty €2 bets on players priced bigger than 300/1 before the thing got underway on Thursday. I traded out last night.

Just as well though as I had a crap day trading the horses yesterday!

I'm tempted to lay some of the profit on the leader at short odds, nothing to lose but he has!

Would have been a wonderful green on him if I had held the position open but that's generally not my strategy, bit of a gamble.
