McIlroy now -11 thru 14 on the second day and 1.64 to the championship. Surely too short with 40 holes left?

Double bogeyed the last. How he starts or responds to the first dropped shot will be key tomorrow.

Think I might engage and treat McIIroy & Yang as two horse race. Worse case hopefully the percentage move of one will offset the other whilst, best case, at some point during the first 1/2 of day both will make upward move in price. Good luck to all today.

PS: http://www.weather.com forecast at time of writing " Scattered showers and thunderstorms developing around late morning. Partly cloudy with temperatures rising towards the low 80s. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 50% "

McIlroy looks very composed at the moment and is playing good percentage golf. If he carries on like this nobody will catch him.

Yep. Mcllroy looks the goods. He is so composed under pressure. There are some good younger players coming through over the next 18 months by the look of it.I managed to get out without doing too much damage. Bit of rain would have been nice ! :)

McIlroy has won!

According to the BBC website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13835245):

'In 2004, Gerry [McIlroy's dad] and three friends gathered £100 each and placed a £400 bet on Rory McIlroy to win The Open before he was 25. At the time, he was 15. The bookmakers gave them odds of 500-1.'
